1. Feature
Silk is a kind of natural albumin fabric. Mousse line is 100 percent made of silk. Rich in 18 kinds of amino acid, silk is nutritious to human skin. By wearing underwear made of fine silk, veins beneath the human skin will be elastic and caducity will be slowed down. In contrast to other fabrics, silk is fine, smooth, and velvet, with good moisture absorption, ventilation, and Pearle scent luster. That is why silk is usually called “Queen of Fabric”.
2. General knowledge of silk fabrics maintenance:
Silk fabrics dyed of dark and tinged color should not be put in the same basin when washing.
Sweated silk clothes should be washed or dipped in fresh water at once. Do not wash silk clothes with water more than 30 Centigrade.
Use acid and alkalescent wash or wash special for silk fabrics when washing silk fabrics.
Tenderly manual washing is recommended. Avoid screwing or washing with scrubbing brush. Cleansed with fresh water and air-dried in the shade.
Ironed when eighty percent dried. Do not spray directly on silk fabric when ironing. Ironed the reverse side and the iron temperature should be at 100 ~ 150 Centigrade.
Silk clothes should be piled up when washed and dried off, wrapped with a piece of cloth and put into wardrobe without camphor or mothball.
3. How to distinguish silk with chemical fabric?
Luster
The brightness of natural silk is soft and uniform, not glaring. The brightness of rayon, however, is uneven. That of polyester is even, but glaring. The worst is polyamide. It looks like covered with a layer of wax.
Touch
When you stroke silk, you will feel a little bit scabrous. You will not have such feeling when stroking chemical fabrics. Rayon is slippery, but not elastic. Cotton fabric is not soft.
Crease
Unlike rayon, there will not have creases after silk pinched. Polyamide will have creases after pinching, but it is elastic.
Pull
Draw several threads out of the fabrics and tongue them. Those that who was easily broken is not silk.
Rub
Natural silk is covered with sericin so that it will make noise when being rubbed. Man-made fabrics will not.
